Launch of ‘The Darker Side of Love’

Yesterday was the official launch of The Darker Side of Love at The Poetry Cafe, Covent Garden. We had an amazing night; the room was filled with people and we heard six of our DSL poets read from the anthology and from their own collection: Lewis Buxton, Ellie Danak, Nia Solomon, Lawrence Wilson, Madelaine Smith and Maggie Sawkins. It was fantastic to hear the voices behind the poems and an opportunity to chat and meet new people on the poetry scene. Do take a look at the gallery below to see some photographs from the evening.

We have a current call for submissions for our next anthology, of poetry AND flash fiction, for ‘Schooldays’. Make of it what you will – teacher, pupil, parent; bullying, halcyon days or, perhaps, a country where education is not a right. We are looking for a diverse collection of writing to epitomise all that falls into our experience of schooldays. That includes the summer holidays!

Meanwhile, The Darker Side of Love is available for purchase and we are hoping to host another event in Edinburgh, later on this year.
