The Poetry of Roses is a small pamphlet, published in connection with The National Trust event ‘Roses’, held at Sissinghurst Castle, Kent in June 2016. Sissinghurst is famed for being the home of Vita Sackville-West, poet, novelist and garden-designer and renowned friend of Virginia Woolf. Sackville-West designed the gardens at Sissinghurst, with her rose garden remaining one of the most beautiful in Britain.
Paper Swans ran a poetry competition on the theme of roses and this pamphlet contains the winners and highly-commended entries, judged by Jill Munro.
